Individualized Educational Plan (PEI)
WHAT IS IT?
It is a document that is drawn up from year to year and contains the detailed indication of the educational-didactic interventions, the objectives set for the pupil with disabilities (L. 104/92) and finally the evaluation criteria of the educational path.
It is elaborated, approved and verified by the GLO (Operational Working Group), by the curricular teaching team or by the class council and the family, through the concrete assumption of responsibility by the various figures involved.
WHO IS IT FOR?
To students in possession of the certification of disability pursuant to Law 104/1992.
WHO PREPARES IT?
- GLO (school + family + Multidisciplinary Evaluation Unit);
- Theschool assistant may also participate, if present;
- If requested, the figure of one or more private specialists who follow the student can participate.
WHEN?
- It is drawn up provisionally by June to define the resources and trace a path of inclusion for the following school year and definitively by the month of November;
- It is subject to periodic checks in order to ascertain the achievement of the objectives and / or make any changes and additions.
INTERMEDIATE VERIFICATION
It is a meeting to verify the student's educational and scholastic path in which changes can be made to the EIP.
It usually takes place from November to April, preferably halfway through the school year (end of the fourth quarter).
FINAL VERIFICATION
It is a meeting to verifythe achievement of the objectives set by the EIP for the current school year and the process of growth of the pupilor which takes place around May / June.
It defines the hours of support to be allocated for the following school year and useful indications for operational work.
